Vienna Vegetable Orchestra - Is this for real????? I was surfing the web and stumbled upon the Vienna Vegetable Orchestra..I can't believe that this is for real! I mean I'm into avant-garde stuff...but I'm seriously wondering if this real or if I'm being duped and it's just a joke. Go to their website...its seriously the craziest thing I've ever seen. If it's for real, as novel as it may seem, I think its at least interesting...I would see them live if they came here. But seriously...does anyone know if this is a real ensemble that actually plays with vegetables?????

Symphony Orchestras: Opera Companies: which are the best in the world? give two reasons for your choice!? My choices are as follows: Symphony Orchestras in ranking order are: (1) Vienna Philharmonic (2) London " (3) London Symphony (4) Berlin Philharmonic Opera Companies: (1) La Scala (2) Covent Garden, London (3) Vienna State (4) New York's Metropolitan For all of the orchestras, I would say for their: technological expertise; musicianship and sonority of the overall ensemble. For the opera companies: their continuous, more or less uninterrupted seasons; overall management and directorialship; sufficient funding; and capability to employ the best singers. Sounds kind of perfunctory, doesn't it? Hope you can do better. Let's have at it! Wotan

Music composition software? I have just been introduced to the daunting world of musical composition. Not long ago i puchased sibelius and started writing out music quite happily and being reasonably impressed by the sound produced. However i was recently exposed to software such as Eastwest, vienna symphonic etc. I found listening to demos that these sounded great and much better than sibelius so i managed to get east west stormdrum and symphonic orchestra. However now that i have got them i have no idea what to do with them. Some enlightenment onto the world of composing tech and how my sibelius can create demos such as those done with ewqlso would be much appreciated. basically: how do i make music, and make it play using ewqlso now that i have them downloaded. (the words vst, midi and sequencer tend to be cropping up also)
